What are the VooDoo Gospels?

Good question, the answer is quite simple. We're two dj's who have a weekly show on Nauticradio, a site dedicated to underground music in all it's disguises. We do a live show every thursday night from 21:00 till 24:00 cet.

Musically our show can be described as "everything goes". We don't limit ourselves to just one style of music, instead we do as we please with all kinds of music, ranging from hip hop to bellydance music, from dub to oldschool rave, balkanbeats, fucked up filterdisco, electronics in all its beauty and uglyness, breakbeats, jungle and silly spoken word. How broad can you get musically anyway? Dj porno is more into the world stuff, including bossa nova, salsa, bellydance music and basically everything that has a groove. Pablo Discobol digs the world stuff as well, but is more into electronics, jazz, bluegrass, hardcore electro, breakbeats and early rave.

We don't limit ourselves; instead we feed off eachother to continue the musical growth. The fun part of our show is we don't spin back to back, but do sets of 45 minutes each without telling eachother upfront what kind of music we're gonna play. This always creates a wide variety of music, changing or not changing every 45 minutes, and keeping our cooperation fresh and challenging. Of course we do a lot of parties as well, in which we continue the vibe of our broadcasts, with perhaps a little less weirdness and a more danceable vibe, because that's of course our main goal, see people loose their heads to the music!
